places i like: alta

Alta is home to powder in the winter and wildflowers in the summer.

We took a scenic drive up the canyon over the weekend. Our destination was Alta, a place we both like. The mountains are beautiful this time of year. Snow is melting from the peaks, and the trees are filled with bright green leaves. Alta is known for it’s old school charm–the lodges, shops and restaurants lining Little Cottonwood Canyon are quaint and rustic. Aren’t those shutters charming? It’s the quintessential spot for anyone who enjoys the art of skiing.
