New York City Fall Break . . .
Our trip to New York City Fall Break was nothing short of magical. Autumn really is my very favorite time to wander the city–light jackets, the hint of changing leaves and there’s that fall crispness in the air. The girls loved it, too. When I say we stopped at every single park along the way, I really mean it. They played their hearts out while we wandered from tip to tip.
So, what’s the travel trick? We planned our trip with ease in mind. Instead of hitting every sight worth seeing, we limited our list to one favorite restaurant and one major to-do each day. This helped set expectations and limit disappointments.
For example, one day we visited the Empire State Building. Then, we leisurely strolled to Shake Shack in Madison Square Park. Our loose itinerary left plenty of room for extra stops along the way. Things like shopping at Jake’s favorite menswear store, a half-hour spent swinging at a neighborhood park and a snack break in-between were like icing on a cake. They made our day that much more sweet.

Other Essentials?
Our packable raincoats came in clutch for unexpected storms. The compact material fit perfectly in my backpack with all the other travel necessities. We also loved using this Yoyo Compact Travel Stroller. It’s lightweight, easily maneuvered through crowds and can be packed away neatly when dining out or at coat check. I also recommend carrying a bag with padded straps. Your back, neck and shoulders will thank you later!

Looks FUN! Great post.
