Out, about and on the hunt for grub? This old school joint is the best in town.

 Escape From New York Pizza opened their doors in 1983 and has been serving up NY pizza by-the-slice ever since. It’s actually their claim to fame–they were Portland’s first of it’s kind.

We ordered a whole pie to share + take home as leftovers. It may have been our best decision of the day. The pieces were huge, perfectly cheesy and ideal for folding. Pass the parmesan cheese, please! As I’m sure you can imagine, the pizza even tasted better the next day. It doesn’t get much better than that.
