Floral Dress for Now + Later

Floral dress lovin’ . . .

The key to a transitional wardrobe is picking pieces that you can easily style now and later. Pieces like this floral dress by Banana Republic definitely fit the bill. From the feminine drop waist to the bold floral pattern, I can’t wait to wear it again once the cool weather hits and my bump continues to grow.

For a summer afternoon, I kept things simple with a pair of ankle boots, lace socks and dainty gold jewelry. It’s the perfect look for client meetings or a leisurely dinner downtown. The transition to fall is just as easy. I’ll add a pair of opaque tights, a classic moto jacket + black suede booties. The switch in accessories feels minimal, but it adds just the right amount of edge to compliment cooler temps. I can definitely see myself wearing this ensemble for a dressier date night.
