Game Day Essentials for Cooler Temps
Game day essentials . . .
I went to my first Seahawks game this week. It was everything I dreamed it’d be–three hours of action packed football, first down chants and salty concession stand food. Do you watch football? Whether you’re cheering from home or headed to a stadium, here are four things I like to have on hand.
The Breakdown
Game Day Tee
Thanks to NFL Fan Style, I’ve collected my fair share of gear. For Monday’s game, I went with a classic boyfriend tee. The relaxed fit is reminiscent of workout wear, and the stripes feel collegiate without looking too preppy. You can find more Nike game day tees here.
Fully Charged Tech
It’s my first year playing Fantasy Football, and I get so pumped checking my team’s stats during weekend games. Since my Fantasy roster has players from different NFL teams, this has completely changed the way I watch the game. It’s also helped me add a few new favorites to my list. Looking at you, Gronk.
Plus, it’s always nice to have a fully charged phone so you can celebrate the win with a candid pic or two.
Baseball Cap or Knit Beanie
On Monday, I wore this Seahawks hat to the game. I love the royal blue color and often find myself wearing it casually. Athleisure, after all, is totally a trend. Once the temps get cooler, I’ll switch out my ball cap for something a little bit cozier. Not a Seattle fan? The cute beanie from the photos above is available for multiple NFL and NBA teams. Layered Outerwear
Since most stadiums are open to the elements, strategic layering is key. I like to incorporate pieces that I can add to or take away from depending on the weather. This usually means things like cardigan sweaters, lightweight sweatshirts or denim jackets because they easily tie around your waist. There’s no better way to brave whatever Mother Nature might have in store.
