Roscoe’s for Chicken & Waffles

Dinner at Roscoe’s . . . 

Since meeting Jake, I’ve heard a lot about the fried chicken and waffles they serve at Roscoe’s. He LOVES this place, and he’d eat there multiple times a day if he could. Now that I’ve been, I get it. This soul food is worth every bit of hype.

I ordered the Carol B. Special: fried chicken, one waffle, maple syrup and a generous helping of whipped butter. This sweet and savory combination is one of the most-requested items on their menu. As a southern girl at heart, I especially enjoyed the chicken. It came perfectly cooked–moist and juicy on the inside and extra crispy on the outside. It was just how I like it.

If you’re ever in Southern California, make a stop at Roscoe’s. They have multiple locations so there’s really no excuse.
